and so, 2 years after our first full length release, we’re really ready to go again. the new album will be comprising of 12 tracks that SARA and I worked on since 2008. we’re EXTREMELY glad to report that pre-production has begun here in PRAGUE at the wonderful SYPE STUDIOS.  we’re even HAPPIER to report that drums will be handled by Mr. PETR STUDIHRAD, whose rock-solid beats perfectly fit the hard-hitting nature of our newest material. check out this beautiful set of pictures taken in the studio by the legendary EMILIO BELLU (or click on that link above), and get ready for more upcoming news while the story develops…

when we got back from minneapolis at the end of summer 2008, we simply realized that both xavier and justin were a little too far away to get things going. that is why we kept demoing our new songs during the year, and shot a video for our leading single GETTING IT ON with our good friends – giorgio, claudia, giuseppe, simone and giorgia. it was great fun, and you should check it out. in the meanwhile we decided to regroup locally to try and play some shows around sardinia. enter davide sardo & alessandro atzori, who graciously helped us play a few live sets around the island, which peaked at the yearly ICHNUSA FESTIVAL (you can check some pics & vids of the event here – you can see us jamming along with our brothers ron, victor, hasan & kevin from HERITAGE OP).

eventually poor chances to play around led us to try and relocate somewhere in europe. that is how, in early 2010, sara and i ended up in prague where i had a chance to enter an internship at FAUST RECORDS and sit thru recording sessions for KILLING JOKE’s upcoming new album, enchanted by the audio-wonders & mysteries of dr. derek saxenmeyer and the loudness of jaz coleman’s mythological voice…

last year we decided to relocate to prague, czech republic. and indeed, we made it here safely. we are getting along greatly with all of the cool people we’ve met here so far, and we’ve resumed work on our new album hoping to regroup soon.

we would like to say THANXABUNCH to mr. davide sardo & mr. alessandro atzori for all of their much appreciated help throughout the year 2009. it’s been great to share the stage with you peeps and we wish you all the very best.

this is another fresh new start for us, and we can’t wait to get stuff done. we don’t know how much it’ll take to get all systems go BUT we can proudly report that twelve brand new songs are under our belt and aching to come to life.

in a sudden change of plans, i am totally psyched to announce that XAVIER is coming over to record his drum lines at the CRIMSON DOME STUDIOS this august!!! this is an incredibly good thing for all of us, as we might even be able to pull off a live show opening for THE MELLON BANK on the beach!!! going to keep you posted on this one…

on other news, i am very proud to announce everyone that i finally made it to my first endorsement with LE MARQUIS NY – the makers of my new classy and wonderfully sounding SG vibrotone guitar…

right now we’re setting the crimson lodge with all that is needed for a kickass tracking of the same drumset which was used to record all of our cds… you’re in for a thrill as we are all once again!

sorry for the current lack of updates – april slipped by all because of a totally tight schedule that’s getting busier than eve…, but the good news are finally in sight!
firstly let me take this chance to thank VALENTINO BULLERI and PAOLO VARGIU for their much needed time and help thru these trippy times. i’ve spent the last months finalizing the details for the new album and closing the demo session. the album will be comprising of 12 brand new songs, and already has a title.

i am very happy to announce that SARA and I are going to be joined on these upcoming recording sessions by JUSTIN WOOD (of SMALL WHITE fame!!!) on bass, and XAVIER DILME (of YOUTUBE fame!!!) on drums. huge amounts of kudos to both of them for their incredible kindness, support and friendship!

and now that we’ve finally decided to settle down on a long distance collaboration, we’re setting up everything via skype, and we can’t wait to come up with the results… this is already proving to be the best thing we’ve ever tried so far… see you very soon!

the album pre-production is in its final phase as 12 songs reached completion during this period of inner turmoil and disclosure. these songs really reflect the natural evolution of a sound that i shaped with years of research and constant work. in the wake of the recent events my outlook on personal relationships has changed so much that it’s going to be hard to top the series of “accidents” that led to the controlled outburst boiling in each of the new compositions. nothing i ever wrote sounded so urgent and fresh to my ears.

many thanx to SARA and VALE who are helping out in the studio; i foresee a late spring release. a tentative demo mp3 will be probably posted on myspace very soon.

whatever happened these last weeks has got me pumped up and fully ready to start things over once again with a fresh new outlook on the state of my music and the direction i decided to take. from now on, RECS OF THE FLESH is the natural reflection of my ongoing experimentation with chords, pedals, strings and whatnot.

so it’s basically a return to form. feels like 2004 all over again, and you know what? it feels great to be here, it feels amazing to be free from restraints of ANY KIND, it feels incredible to have total control. thinking back to all the time spent working hard to make ends meet, it’s probably the way it was always meant to be… so be it!

i’m happy to report that the occurances of the last weeks boosted my creativity to a lifetime maximum and i have started pre-production processes for an all new album entirely made of totally original songs. a few select friends will help me out in the making of this full length release – my very first one ever! – and i can’t wait to get everyone to listen to these new tunes i’ve penned. right now i am busier than ever before…!

some major changes will occur in the meanwhile – keep an eye out for some crazy action online as the website undergoes radical surgery once more…! ciao for now,
